Abstract
User satisfaction is often seen as the key measure of the success of a system. There are various ways of measuring user satisfaction; one of them is using the Software Usability Measurement Inventory (SUMI). SUMI is a scientifically validated psychometric instrument. It has been recognized internationally as a standard and has been widely used in the software industry. Besides Portuguese, SUMI was translated in 10 other languages. In this paper the methodology used to translate the Portuguese version of SUMI is presented, as well as a case study related with its application to the usability evaluation of a software.
